WELCOME TO THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT
The Parks and Recreation Department and Administrative Office, better known as the Ericksen Community Center, is located on the northern most part of 148 acres of Emma Young Park. We have three ASA certified softball fields, four tennis courts, a cross country running trail, a playground, and Clinton's only public pond. The Parks and Recreation Department offers over 170 recreation programs designed for all ages from preschoolers through young adults, adults and seniors. Implementation of these programs, is accomplished by two full-time program professionals, a full-time administrative specialist, two permanent part-time center staff, 150 seasonal and part-time activity staff, 300 volunteer coaches and program volunteers.

Want to get healthier this summer? Try this great opportunity to walk or jog on an Olympic caliber track! The Clinton Schools and the Let’s Live Healthy Clinton initiative are opening the facility on South 14 St from 6 AM-8 AM every Tuesday and Thursday for the summer.
The location was formerly the Clinton Country Club and most recently an Ashford University track and soccer complex. There is a large parking lot and volunteers will be on hand to help you get started.
What a great opportunity to get your exercise in early in the morning before the hot weather sets in! Remember, sitting is the new smoking. Come out and use this great facility to improve your own personal wellness. Bring your friends/tell your friends/post this message on Facebook! Let’s make Clinton a Healthy Community.
