Road Use: A Two Way Street
Road design, construction and planning must account for all road users and by doing so, it is possible to promote safety across all modes of transportation. By accommodating both cars and cyclists into our plans means creating a safer, more user friendly environment for all.
Roundabouts and how their use will reduce congestion, repair poor geometrics, and ultimately to improve intersection safety. And a look at the traffic statistics along Mill Creek Parkway and how Roundabouts would impact traffic flow.
The importance of sidewalks within the city, along with their condition and responsibility for their maintenance, was discussed.
The purpose of a sewer separation project was detailed. Two recent sewer separation projects, 25th Avenue North and Turtle Creek, were discussed.
Trails Advisory Committee
This new committee will serve to advise on the implementation of a network approach to trails within the city, which will provided a community-wide benefit.
